Related Celebrates Spring Into Wellness

Related residents took advantage of the glorious Spring weather on Saturday to head to Hudson Yards for our annual Spring into Wellness event.

As the name implies, the event – which took place in the courtyard at Abington House – focused on healthy living, with some of the top wellness brands in the city there to share their expertise, lead a class, or simply serve up some fresh and nutritious food.

Fitness was a major focus of the day: SoulCycle perfected residents' bike posture; Rumble taught everyone (including kids) how to throw a punch; Equinox led an inspiring rooftop yoga session on the sundeck of Abington House, where yogis did their sun salutations while gazing at the skyline; and Mount Sinai Health Center taught some simple moves for strengthening and training.

Of course, no wellness plan is complete without a comprehensive diet to go along with it; Citarella provided incredible bites, including their signature ceviche prepared by owner and fishmonger Joe Gurrera. And Broken Coconut – the downtown health cafe with a cult following – served up their famous bowls as a preview of what they will offer at the new Equinox Hudson Yards location. The wellness-inspired nail care brand sundays served their line of in-house teas, which guests could mix themselves. They also encouraged everyone to practice self-love with guided meditations and a letter-writing station, where people could send love notes to themselves.

Meanwhile for the kids, Illuminated Faces painted intricate designs on faces and arms. And children nurtured their inner engineers by creating impressive (solar-powered!) structures with the innovation hub The GIANT Room.
