Iliyan:
It will be four years in November.

Any favorite One Back Bay stories?
Iliyan:
There are so many good stories, but to me it's important that I met some great people that live in the building and became friends with some of them. Also I used to be afraid of dogs, but the dogs in the building are so friendly my fear totally disappeared!

What are your favorite historic buildings in Boston?
Iliyan:
One of my favorite historic buildings is Trinity Church, number one because of its extraordinary architecture and number two is because my living room is overlooking the church and I absolutely love that view. I also like the public library, it reminds me of the architecture in Europe where I was born.

What’s a hidden gem in your city we should check out?
Iliyan:
Most people would probably answer that question with a restaurant or a bar, but to me a hidden gem is a room in Massachusetts General Hospital, where the first surgery with anesthesia was conducted. It was introduced to it by my eye doctor and I've been telling my friends about it. So much history in that room, it makes you realize how important Boston is to the rest of the world.

How do you unwind after work?
Iliyan:
I usually cook in my open kitchen, overlooking Back Bay, have a drink at the restaurant below or practice my golf swing at the nearby driving ranges, which are open until 10pm.

What do you look for most in a new apartment?
Iliyan:
I look for nice open kitchen, generous counter space and good ceiling height.

What sets One Back Bay and Related Rentals apart from other properties in Boston?
Iliyan:
To me, the location is unbeatable. My office is on Newbury Street and it takes me 4 minutes to walk to work. Also the people that work in the building make such a big difference. They’re friendly and always very helpful.

What tips do you have for apartment hunters in Boston right now?
Iliyan:
The biggest tip would be to see as much as possible in a short period of time. The market is very hot and they need to educate themselves fast, because places don't last for too long in this market.

Any interior design tips for fall?
Iliyan:
Don't pick furniture that is too large for the space. Have fewer, but nicer pieces.
